Summer 2024 Workshops

Museum Days - Guided discussion and drawing in the Eskenazi Art Museum. 

Dates: July 16, 23, 30

Time: 10am-12:30pm

Cost: $45/day*

We will be participating in the tradition of learning from past artists by drawing from pieces in the museum. Our group will focus on a new section each week and dig into the history and techniques used in those pieces before sitting to draw. Join us for an enriching morning! 

Plein Air Days - Drawing and painting on location on the Square

Dates: July 18, 25, & August 1st

Time: 9:00am-Noon

Cost: $45/day*

We will talk about the challenges of drawing from life “in the wild” and practice several sketching techniques. Each day we will focus on a new Bloomington scene to draw. Locations will be announced during the summer.

Additional Info

*Each session must reach a minimum of 4 students to carry. We may combine sessions if necessary. There may be limited scholarships available for students facing financial hardship. Please email Rebecca at rebeccawoodwardart@gmail.com for more information.

Qualifications

Rebecca has a decade of teaching experience and has been painting and drawing her whole life. She has BFA in Illustration from BYU and an MA from the Florence Academy of Art.
